Sustainability and the environment - Don't burn it, enjoy it.

The timber I use for wood turning is mainly British hardwood such as Yew, Ash, Elm and Sycamore (often from the Yorkshire Dales & occasionally European) from either managed woodlands or from windfall at the end of a trees life. Managed woodland ensures that trees and the environment they create are healthy and sustainable for the future.
It does mean that there are costs involved throughout this chain.
Each piece I make is a unique, one-off piece of functional art.
